Each plate starts as a flat disc of brass and is hammered into a shallow dish. We leave some of the dark marks from the making, so every plate looks different.
Caring for brass
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It darkens with air and handling, and this darker colour is called patina. Some people like the patina and some prefer bright brass.
Care guideMade in the Atelier, our studio next door to the gallery. If you need a different size or metal, ask us about a custom piece.
Prices are in rand and are confirmed when you reserve.
