Each cuff is cut from brass strip, hammered by hand and bent to an open oval, so it slides on from the side. The hammer marks reflect light in many directions.
Caring for brass
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It darkens with air and handling, and this darker colour is called patina. Some people like the patina and some prefer bright brass.
