Fine silver is almost pure, which gives it a bright, milky white colour. It is softer than sterling, so the ring will show small marks from everyday wear.
Caring for silver
Sterling and fine silver tarnish more slowly than brass. Fine silver (999) is soft, so it will pick up small marks with wear.
